The 2019 Maryland Fraud Conference will be held on April 29 and April 30 at Martin's West
The conference will begin at 8:00 am and conclude at 5:00 pm daily and will consist of eight fifty-minute presentations daily awarding sixteen (16) credit hours for the two-day event. The member price will be $250.00 per person and non-member $275.00. Group pricing (5 or more) will be $250.00 per person.
The focus of the conference will include fraud presentations made by guest speakers (both current and retired) from federal agencies, state agencies, and public and private enterprises with concentrations that include:
Public Corruption, Taxation, Workman’s Compensation, Motor Fuel, Data Analytics, Insider Threat, Credit Reporting, Identity Protection, Safe and Secure Work Environment, Financial Crimes, and Ethics.
The keynote speaker will be Mr. Robert K. Hur, the 48th United States Attorney for the District of Maryland. Mr. Hur was a member of the senior leadership team and the top aide to Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein. Mr. Hur received his A.B. degree, magna cum laude with highest honors, from Harvard College and he received his J.D. from Stanford Law School.
The conference will represent a portrayal of best practices for identifying, reporting, and investigating fraud within the concentrations referenced above.
