Breakfast Meeting ACFE MD- September 20, 2019

Two presentations at the September meeting with breakfast at 7:30 AM and a  program from 8 AM to 11 AM:

1. A Case of Bank Fraud Conspiracy and Aggravated Identity Theft

Investigator Kevin Turner, of the United States Park Police will be presenting his investigation of the case of a Silver Spring man who was convicted in federal court of bank fraud, conspiracy, and aggravated identity theft.

2. Social Media and the Unseen Risks to an Organization

We will be showing a video of Keith Elliott’s presentation about social media at the 2019 Global Fraud Conference.  The presentation will address questions such as (1) can you control what is said about your brand, (2) who says it, and (3) what happens if fiction is perceived as truth? Also, how do social media account takeovers occur and what can be done to prevent them?
