Welcome to the ACFE Maryland Chapter
The Chapter promotes fraud prevention and detection through a number of Chapter initiatives. Our training seminars and annual fraud conference include nationally acclaimed speakers on the latest topics in fraud prevention and detection. These meetings also provide the opportunity to network with other fraud professionals.
The Chapter contributed to three fraud libraries. The libraries at Stevenson University and the University of Baltimore each house over 200 books on a wide range of fraud topics which are available to Chapter members and to students across the State. In addition, the Chapter has contributed to a growing library on fraud topics at Salisbury University.

The Chapter's Board of Directors brings a variety of experience and leadership skills to the organiztion.
In addition to the activities within our community, the Chapter provides a generous contribution to the ACFE Foundation. The mission of the ACFE Foundation is to increase the body of anti-fraud knowledge by supporting future anti-fraud professionals worldwide through the funding of the Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship Program. The scholarship program provides an opportunity for men and women of all ages, races, religions and income levels to advance their education. Many of these outstanding and deserving students go on to become Certified Fraud Examiners.
In an example of fundraising for the scholarship in recent years, the Chapter arranged a sunset cruise of the Inner Harbor when Baltimore was selected as the host city for the 26th Annual ACFE Global Fraud Conference. More than 360 conference attendees boarded the Spirit of Baltimore for the event which resulted in several thousand doallrs for the scholarship program.
